About Zermatt
Zermatt is located at the end of the 25 km long Matter valley and is famous worldwide for the Matterhorn, the most photographed mountain in the world – but not only for that.
For our guests from abroad, Zermatt represents Switzerland: high alpine and original. The village is surrounded by 38 four-thousanders and is visited annually by climbers from all over the world. The hotels and restaurants here are top class.
The ski area is not only the highest in Europe, it is also considered one of the best developed in the world and offers sporting experiences 365 days a year.
The climate is impressive: with more than 300 sunny days a year, Zermatt is the sunniest area in Switzerland. The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean because the village has always been car-free.
Things are different in Zermatt. Zermatt is its own little world.
